The Right, obviously, has lost its collective mind. But then Putin is an authoritarian ass. so maybe that's the attraction.
A curious thing about this whole Russia lark is that the Left are much more concerned about Russia than they ever were during the Cold War..

What is your definition of "the left"? Because I can't think of one that makes your statement work factually.

I could argue with some of those a lot, but that's not the point. Either you consider the establishment left/center-left or the far left.

If establishment, they were major cold warriors. If far left, many participated in Russian propaganda in 2016 and are unrepentant about it.

And finally, participating in propaganda is not the same as celebrating a political system, accepting funding, etc, etc;

The Left on the whole supported Russia during the Cold War and would have welcomed Russian tanks rumbling down Whitehall.

I think Demparty talks about Russia so much because they have little to offer on policy. They are not true left. Quite rightwing eg hrc.
