These articles are politically motivated attempts to construct a particular ideological narrative, and you shouldn't trust them.
The new atheists bloggers, & their audiences, prominent a few years ago behaved in awful ways, but it had nothing to do with Dawkins et al.

What's interesting is it's largely the same people now constructing these highly partial, often defamatory, attacks on Dawkins & Harris.

The problem isn't atheism, it's zealotry, crowd behavior, group think, and the seductiveness of "othering" & in-group moral righteousness.
