Very clear memory of watching that game. Allan Clarke diving header to the left of Bob Wilson. Was there a dislocated shoulder somewhere?

Mick Jones in the last minute. Norman Hunter had to help him up the steps to get his medal.

Norman Hunter, I remember him - didn't he get into a fairly hilarious punch-up with Francis Lee? I was obsessed with football back then.

Man City - there was an Esso promotion for the 1970 word cup. Football pennies. The first I got was Francis Lee, so decided to support City.

I remember those. You could have had Colin Bell for City as well. I supported Leeds because Johnny Giles was Irish and with Leeds.

That early 70s Leeds side was very, very good. I remember watching them torment some side by just passing endlessly.

Southampton 7-0. Don Revie was friends with Southampton's manager, and told Leeds to stop scoring after 7 - hence the endless passing

- Don Revie was an interesting character. Not sure everything was always entirely above board back then!3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

He changed Leeds strip to all white to copy Real Madrid, and he once brought in a gypsy to remove a curse on Elland Road.

He died of motor neuron disease, didn't he? Poor fellow. Nice chatting. Gotta get back to work. Have a good evening/night! Cheers!
