US Left is hardly left, those who may count tend to go full postmodernism-relativism (Regressive/SJW/CRT) style, aren't they?
I think you make too much of the postmodern/relativist thing (e.g., moral authoritarianism of SJW's not postmodernist).

I view claim to moral authority on culture as based on behaviorist / blank slate beliefs. They're also author. personalities.

But behaviorism is not - and cannot be - postmodernist. It's pretty much a grand narrative (which, cf Lyotard, rules out post-mod)
