Social media makes it worse, because - to borrow from Gordon Graham - it encourages the formation of pure confluences of influence.

You really can shut yourself off from tendencies that might lead you to question your monopoly on moral righteousness & political wisdom.

Is it not the case that when Corbyn was first elected leader, majority of full members voted for him anyway not just £3ers?

Well, I'd never claim that full members weren't also capable of fucking up! Rank & file tend towards the extreme.

of course it will be interesting to see what the percentages are this time around! the £3 could make a difference.

£3 will make a difference, because it means any shift towards the centre can easily be counteracted by new membership drive.
