Have any philosophers written seriously abt the justifications for hoping bigots (eg, racists) will suffer bad consequences for their views?
If there were a button that'd make racists, etc., 10% more miserable, I think a lot of people would think they'd be justified in pushing it.

FWIW, which is not a lot, I don't think it's clear that such a justification exists.
