Apollodorus once said of Chrysippus the Stoic, that if one were to strip his books of extraneous quotations, the pages would be left bare.
It isn't recorded whether Apollodorus went on to call Chrysippus a "Greek wanker", "demented fuckwit" and accuse him of harboring rapists.
