@elsewherever Why only the guilty? That's where retributive impulse comes into play. Why not teach innocent compassion by punishing them? -
@PhilosophyExp Conjecture: The innocent haven't yet set off reaction. Action leads to Reaction. (But too many suffer needlessly, unjustly.)
