@PhilosophyExp So I guess the distinction (in my mind) is a case of offering or accepting an offer vs pressuring them.

@PhilosophyExp No probs - I'm not set on it anyhow - I was just trying to work out why my intuitions are like they are.

@SIN_Notung and then, certainly within a short time. My view is that it would have been wrong to go ahead in that situation...

@SIN_Notung result just seems entirely bizarre. I don't get why anybody would want to, really! Maybe I'm naive! :)
