Most female chipmunks trill if chased by predator 10 metres from their burrow, but won't bother if they're 100 metres away. #funsciencefact

@Personalwetness Not unusual, but Burke da Silva et al's 2002 experiment suggested trill is warning rather than mere fear response. -
