Never kill a good looking, fluffy animal with cute eyes - that way lies trouble. But factory faming ugly cows... no problem there...

@PhilosophyExp Not saying farming cows is ok, but isn't the lion thing worse in that it was for fun, and also they have 'vulnerable' status?

@PhilosophyExp I mean, if someone kills a cow for 'sport' and poses smiling with a photo of it... similar to bullfighting I guess.

@NotungSchwert To make that argument work, you've got to show that we're right in not getting worked up about factory farming.

@PhilosophyExp It's more that I think not reacting to factory farming is understandable even if it's wrong.The lion thing just seems 'evil'.

@PhilosophyExp Though in terms of actual suffering the farming one is far worse. So I think it's more 'what sort of person does this?'.

@NotungSchwert Cattle farming helps feeding mankind. Hunting lions is just cruelty elevated to the rank of sport. @PhilosophyExp
