Surveys of teenagers in the UK when I was younger showed that most thought they would die because of nuclear war. Puts things in perspective
@sjzara I'd be interested to see the survey data. Trouble is, I know from experience it's damned hard to track down historical stuff.

@sjzara The other thing is I'd expect a "die in a nuclear war" option to appeal to teenagers, because it's dramatic, apocalyticy, etc. -

@sjzara@Metamagician Yeah, situtation in States in the 1960s... Cuba crisis, the whole reds under the beds thing - would have an effect.
