Here's a thing about enforced ideological conformity...it's just very boring. Why would you want never to hear anything vaguely challenging?

@mollydot Except it isn't a very good reason to listen to the less privileged. It's merely a reason to seek to ameliorate lack of privilege.

@mollydot Too complex for twitter. But basically I reject the assumption that people's lives & experiences are transparent to themselves.

@philosophyexp But they're going to have different viewpoint. Wouldn't listening only to privileged voices be boring?

@mollydot Oh absolutely. I'm not saying that the testimony of the non-privileged is unimportant! Just it doesn't reach the bar for knowledge

@philosophyexp But surely reaches the bar for avoiding ideological conformity and increasing the chance of being vaguely challenged?
