If you judge a person to be a "terrible human being" just because they disagree with you on the internet, then you're being very foolish.
@fardarter People say all sorts of things for all sorts of reasons, & it's rash to draw large conclusions solely on basis of internet stuff.

@PhilosophyExp OK, sure, but then what criteria or criterion would need to be fulfilled in order for someone to be described as 'terrible'? -
@fardarter I'd actually set the bar pretty high for that sort of designation. But I'm a bleeding heart liberal! :) -
@PhilosophyExp I do think people jump to conclusions on line far far too quickly though, and it is hurtful and unfair to many. -
@fardarter could be testament to some large moral failing. But I'd still want to resist totalizing impulse (except on very rare occasions). -
@PhilosophyExp Agreed. What I find more frustrating, though, is the belief that people won't change their minds if you explain kindly.

@PhilosophyExp I feel like the harmfulness of held opinion is a decent one, but certainly it isn't totalising.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
