@philosophyexp 3 people expounding on the third way would give you 4 viewpoints, at least. Its a bit nebulous.
Though, to be fair, that might have been the fault of the Third Way... somewhat underspecified, I'd say.

@BrianMcleish Right, though one would hope at least some of the 3 people had bothered to read Giddens.... ;) -
@philosophyexp you would hope but, in this case, Frankenstein has lost control of his monster and he is off establishing his own destiny. -
@BrianMcleish In this case, I rather suspect Frankenstein never had full control of his monster in the first place... :) -
@philosophyexp yeah, that is a fair comment. I'm struggling for a metaphor but the only ones I can come up with are Prospero or Faust.

@PhilosophyExp not familiar with 'Third Way' used in this context. Any chance of a reference? Obviously need to broaden my knowledge. -
.
@revantbda Third Way - Giddens's "Beyond Left and Right" (1998) is standard theoretical text. But it is underspecified, so... -
@PhilosophyExp so... don't worry 2 much abt it? I do remember the text, but nevr got arnd 2 reading (head buried in theological Third Way). -
@revantbda I would spend exactly zero time worrying about it. :) (It's a little anachronistic now, anyway.) -
@PhilosophyExp from this point on I vow not to give it a second thought. Unless it become important. Which it won't. I hope.
