Really enjoyed #ChesterHalf marathon today, though last 6k v. tough. Perfect conditions for my 1st 1/2 & £370 raised for @DrHadwenTrust!

@PhilosophyExp thanks - I'm very pleased with the time (though will have to work on the final 1/4 in future).1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@SteveCooke Did your knee hold up okay? Long reps & slightly higher training mileage will help last 1/4. Still impresisve, though.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@PhilosophyExp knee was fine - though had slight niggle on left ham 10k-in for a while. Worst I have is a bloody toe - relatively painless.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@SteveCooke Yeah, bloody toes come with the territory. :) So do you think your knee would handle a full marathon? Too risky?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@PhilosophyExp I'm not sure - I keep thinking it'll cope, but I don't know if I want to risk it. I might have a go at a half Ironman instead2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
@SteveCooke It's what happens in the last 6 miles of a marathon when your body begins to breakdown that's hard to predict.
