This idea consent should be "enthusiastic": that pretty much rules out sex for people who've been together for what... more than 10 years?

@PhilosophyExp Speak for yourself :p Think it works for teens though. A 16yo saying, "oh okay, go on then" sounds pressured.
@cathyby Supposing someone is nervous about their first time... Could consent ever be given "enthusiastically" in that situation?

@cathyby Right. The point I was making was exactly that fully informed, non-coerced consent does not necessarily involve "enthusiasm". -

@cathyby I'm guessing you mean pedagogically? If so I've seen it used that way. But I've also frequently seen it meant literally... 1/2
