@PhilosophyExp Why not? If ceasefire means merely stop calling each other hateful things and focusing on critiquing ideas, how is that bad?
There are calls for a ceasefire in the atheist/skeptical thing. Entertaining, obviously. It won't work, also obviously. And nor should it.
