Listen for the gorgeous descending arpeggios at about 2:30 is my advice... It's also an authentic instruments performance, obviously.

@Dianora_1 Love it. Reminds me a little of Pachelbel. Great performance as well. They were having a lot of fun. -
@PhilosophyExp I love this performance. They also did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8p9rolham8 … another Chiacona Do you enjoy any of the Renaissance ? -
@Dianora_1 Playing it now. Tallis, Allegri (if he counts). But I really perfer the harmonic & contrapunctal richness of the baroque period. -
@PhilosophyExp saw this over the summer http://www.gallery.ca/en/see/exhibitions/current/details/janet-cardiff-forty-part-motet-3132 … was able to wander to each voice and hear it. Just stunning. -
@Dianora_1 Wow! Annoyed I didn't know about it. Would have been worth a trip. -
@PhilosophyExp I didn't know you then or I would have told you :-( One of my sisters teaches violin in Toronto BTW. -
@Dianora_1 Cool about sister. My parents are musicians. My father was the head of a university music department in the UK. - 3 more replies
