I once took my then girlfriend's labrador, which I didn't know very well, to play in a park. There were other labradors there. I got confused. Brought home the wrong labrador. They all look alike!

My girlfriend only lived 5 mins from the park. I think she'd just got back from a shift on a checkout at Sainsbury's. She took one look at the dog, and said, "That's not Caesar, where's Caesar!?" - probably with a lot of swearing. We went straight back...

Caesar was still there making friends with the owners of my new labrador, which I had to return, obviously! They were a bit frazzled, but it had only been 10 mins, and they'd kind of figured out what had happened. Missing labrador, but spare strange labrador in the park.

This was 35 years ago. I think people were more relaxed about letting their dogs play without supervision back then. And the new labrador was very friendly, and it did look like Caesar, and it didn't complain when I led it off!

It's a lovely place by the look of it. Great setting for a movie, what did I say!
