One satisfying irony about attempts to shut down Kathleen Stock, Holly Lawford-Smith, etc., is that their work is now much more widely known that it likely would have been had they been allowed to get on with things in the normal quiet academic fashion.
This is daft. Do you really think that people's public profiles can't be increased by a "noisy" push back? I'd say that's what happened with Jordon Peterson, for example, who would have remained a hardly known mediocrity without it.

Thank God it happened. Empirical data broadens realistic perceptions. If you aren’t interested in hearing intelligent arguments for both sides of a premise, you’re too closed minded to enjoy learning about things you may not understand. Peterson is very fair and quite brilliant.
