One satisfying irony about attempts to shut down Kathleen Stock, Holly Lawford-Smith, etc., is that their work is now much more widely known that it likely would have been had they been allowed to get on with things in the normal quiet academic fashion.

It is also quite stunning to see in real-time how people with an MO based on domination assume that people who choose not to are incapable of playing hardball when required. When in actual fact they will likely be better at it, since they are:

a) not default-belligerent but context-aware and able to look at a problem from different angles, and b) often determined to play hardball for as short a time as possible, and thus aim for a combination of efficiency and efficacy.
