In 1969, Tony Cliff, leader of the International Socialists (which became the SWP) started worrying the party was too high falutin & middle class, so he ordered its student activists to get jobs in factories.

It might be for you but without those 1000s of activists lots of strikes, demos and campaigns would never have happened, we wouldn’t have defeated the Nazis and things would be generally even worse than they are now

If it hadn't been for the ridiculous "class against class" policy adopted at the behest of the geniuses in the Soviet Union, it's highly unlikely the Nazis would ever have come to power.
