Certainly there's no informed consent here, but obviously they are long dead, so maybe it doesn't matter. The extent to which we need to respect the wishes of the dead, or even worry about their wishes, is a complex question, about which I don't have a properly worked out view.

Following Kant’s division of duties in his Metaphysics of Morals (1797), the duty to treat the dead with dignity is a specific duty. That is, it’s not a duty for all people, but only for specific people such as the relatives or friends of the dead, and for the local authorities.
