Male-bodied people in sheltered accommodation for victims for male violence. That's not an abstract fear, it's real, and it's happened (here in Toronto, for example). (I know you know this, just venting!)

I agree with your point overall, however part of the issue seems to be the fact that there aren’t any male abuse shelters currently in Toronto. If the demand for such a shelter exists, and the supply does not, then it would follow that those in need will try to go where they can

I know. There are genuine conflicts between different sets of rights & needs, and no easy solutions. Obviously, I'd advocate for male shelters (and indeed for shelters for trans women), etc.
