I don't want everybody to yell at me again but I still think transphobia in philosophy is bad

When Jonathan tried to stand up trans women he was brutally attacked as a misogynist. I really don’t get this debate, there seems to be a ton of bad faith.

American dude admits he doesn't get the debate, yet still has the confidence to pronounce "bad faith". Sounds a bit familiar, that sort of thing...

More civil discourse again?

Suggesting people are acting in bad faith when you don't understand the terrain, as you so obviously do not, is not civil discourse.

It’s bad faith both to call people “transphobic” and to call them “misogynistic” when they disagree with you about a topic that those who of us who follow these debates and are perplexed by them realize is very complex. I’m not quite sure there is another area like it.
