I don't want everybody to yell at me again but I still think transphobia in philosophy is bad
Suggesting people are acting in bad faith when you don't understand the terrain, as you so obviously do not, is not civil discourse.

It’s bad faith both to call people “transphobic” and to call them “misogynistic” when they disagree with you about a topic that those who of us who follow these debates and are perplexed by them realize is very complex. I’m not quite sure there is another area like it.
-
It's only bad faith if you make those accusations knowing at some level they're inaccurate. In the heat of argument I don't think people know any such thing (on either side).
-
That’s a fair point.

Fair enough.

Hmm I think you are making unwarranted assumptions about what I know about this general terrain, but ok.
-
Maybe. But do you really not understand why it's annoying when a privileged guy suggests that women who believe their rights are under threat are acting in bad faith?

You seem to be a guy as well, from what I can tell. Anyway, I’m out.
