I find the America vs Britain aspect fascinating and I want to know why it’s broken down this way.
I'm not a fan Twitter mobbing, really, but it is amusingly gratifying to watch a bunch of (mainly) British women taking down woke American intellectual types, almost always beardy men, after they tweet something asinine about "transphobia" for cookies & kudos.

American culture fetishizes the individual & the moral primacy of agency. If you attach that to progressive politics you end up with identity, rather than structure or class, being the main game in town.

I love this too. The most underrated demographic of Twitter for me, comforting in this era where everyone is coerced into conducting conversation on touchy subjects like we are running a damn egg and spoon race. Bless them

A few of us are elsewhere (me USA), but the British women are showing up and sticking their necks out for women everywhere. We would do well to emulate them on this.
