Some people (media & voters) refuse to back Corbyn even if it risks BJ as PM. Others (Labour members) refuse to ditch Corbyn even if it risks BJ as PM. You're arguing the immovability of one group compels the other to move. Not obvious it has to be this way around.

Been there, done that: Labour members will not ditch Corbyn before a GE. What worries me is that a lot of the criticism of Corbyn comes from people who do not accept that is true. They will fail to get rid of Corbyn before any GE but their efforts will keep Johnson in power.

I don’t wholly disagree, but one can view the same phenomenon as the Labour membership’s refusal to ditch an obviously disastrous leader as keeping Johnson in power.

You say he is an obviously disastrous leader. I think if that was true Labour members would not keep him in power. He has delivered on a lot of the change these members wanted to see.

Then those members are prioritising those changes over maximising their chances of forming the next government.

You are making assumptions here. If Labour members didn't think he could win an election they wouldn't keep him in power. I talk about this in the post.
