When it comes to moral calculus, I’m v happy to take ‘she once RTed the Mail’ over ‘she’s teaching gender non-conforming kids to change selves rather than the world, & women/ girls to feel ashamed for standing up for themselves about sex-based harm’. Yeah, I’ll live with myself🤔

But since we're on subject: I don't believe in tribe membership. I won't always do or think the approved thing. Though I believe in moral boundaries (obviously), I don't believe in moral purity, and I'm a political pragmatist not an idealogue. Happy with those life choices too :)

(And that's addressed as much to some in the GC and radfem camp as it is to any TRA. I'm really bored with intermittent attempts to bring me into line on some points. I think for myself, as should everyone).

My trouble with the Mail (or the Times, or the Speccie, or Quillette) isn't loyalty-oath stuff but credibility. Most of my socialist confreres will try and dismiss anything GC anyway, and RTing anything from Right sources gives them an instant excuse.

Your socialist mates will just find another reason to dismiss the GC points if the argumentum ad wrong publication isn't available to them.

You're not wrong, but there's more of a chance they'll read at least some of it and plant doubts despite themselves.

Perhaps, in this instance, the answer is not to convince your confreres, but to defeat them before the wider, unaligned, public. If a minority of less tribal comrades acknowledge the truth, so much the better, but 'the tribe' is not the main audience.

          Replying to @mar_vickers @DrSchwitters and

They use "it's the Mail" to protect themselves. Have seen many of them say "surprisingly the best article I found on that was (insert shameful publication name)" it's how they assure each other they belong. Curently only Mail is writing on Epstein.
