What was the context? Why did you get mobbed?
Well, for example, I went after the online new atheists really early on. There were a few hit pieces by prominent figures (Myers, Coyne, etc).
I just found it hugely entertaining!

Oof. Sounds *almost* like classic trolling. It seems to me that a classic troll is someone who baits a mob for fun. Stirring outrage can induce fits of hilarity. The sort of reaction that can ruin lives can also entertain, depending on context. This is what I find anyway.
