It should be blindingly obvious to anybody who has ever participated in competitive athletics that males have a competitive advantage over females for reasons that have nearly everything to do with biology, & very little to do with expectations, socialization, determination, etc.
Partly it's just a matter of meeting brilliant female athletes, who are hugely hard working, dedicated to their training, & utterly determined, and then you see them beaten by mediocre male athletes, because of... biology.
I realize it's a bit annoying to see men saying this sort of thing. But I find it distinctly irksome to see the hard work & dedication of female athletes I've known effectively dismissed as being not good enough, as though they could have been better if only they'd tried harder.
It feels like this issue (i.e. sport) will come to a head in the next decade. Surprising that it hasn't already...
It will. If not at elite level, then at the level just beneath.
