I don't understand why people think they could ever know that the experience they are having is the experience of being a woman (or man). It surely runs into all the problems of private language, beetle in a box, etc.

Its analogous to a blind person describing a work of art that they cannot see. They have no concrete concept of what it looks like, feels like, and yet, somehow, they are certain that their concept of the piece is equal to a person who can/has seen it. Mind boggles

Adam and ribs. Habits run deep. Some ‘people’ really don’t see women as agents fully independent of themselves. I know that’s hard to accept of you are a rounded, non-misogynist man, but women sadly have more exposure to the full-bodied madness displayed by some.
