Or supposing an atheist group pushes hard for secularization, and the result is that particular religious groups are actually harmed, their lives get worse. Then that's bigotry? I don't think so. Even if the consequences are bad for the religious group.
Truth has to be part of the story here. Suppose I refuse point blank to believe the wilder metaphysical claims of Furries, and the result is that Furries are marginalized, then it's hard to think the refusal in and of itself is bigoted.
