You can combine this idea with thoughts about epistemic injustice. If marginalized groups can't do certain sorts of things with their speech because they're excluded from the public sphere (i.e., social media), then at least arguably that's unjust.

And, of course, I'm well aware there are nightmarishly difficult complexities in play here. For example, how do you balance free expression against right not to be harrassed? My objection really is this trite contention that private company means no free speech issues in play.

Plus, obviously, the fact that Jane has been suspended while Donald Trump is allowed to tweet all his harmful crap (for example) is completely fucking absurd.

Agreed. For me, the key word is moderation, rather than exclusion. We do need to abide by some rules of context-dependent communication behaviour. We need something between exclusion and a no-holds-barred free-for-all.
