The case for reparations gets weaker every year. The situation for Black Americans has become more and more about what we aren't doing as opposed to what others have done.
I don't know if that's true, but if it is, don't you think that stuff like motivation, ambition, expectations, drive, horizons, etc., are partly a function of the situations into which people born?

If that's the case, the current situation to which Black people are being born, is a direct result of the actions of Black people since the '60's. We have been constantly bombarded with the "they" mentality, not the "I" mentality, that results in every other group's success.
