FWIW, my view of informed consent is you've got to disclose what a reasonable person would suppose that your potential partner would want to know given the particular context of the sexual encounter.

So, for example, a passionate encounter behind a nightclub might not require you to disclose your voting intentions (e.g., that you're a Donald Trump fan), but it would require you to disclose that you have an STD (for example).

In other contexts, you might be required to disclose your voting intentions; in particular, if you know perfectly well that the person with whom you're about to have sex would not have sex with you if they knew that you love Donald Trump.

This sets a fairly high bar for informed consent. So, e.g., you can't have a secret affair, & carry on having sex with your partner, thinking you have informed consent. You (very likely) don't. A reasonable person would conclude it's something your partner would want to know.
