If your society was majority atheist, run by atheists and theism was treated as a mental illness or sign of moral degeneracy then yes.
That claim has some traction, but you've shifted the focus away from the denial of some fundamental aspect of a person's reality, to the power relationship, & the ability to coerce on the basis of the denial. Plus, it doesn't remotely describe the situation of gender crit fems.
