If you don't believe me, ask yourself this: How many sociologists develop theories, and discover results, that are out of line with their pre-existing political and moral worldview? The number is vanishingly small.

One of the ironies here is that many of the signatories appear to have no professional training to judge the methodological integrity of the work they object to. I wonder how many of them have even read the work that has them so upset?
