In what circumstances can kindness lead to injustice? Serious question I can only think of very few cases and I can turn those around.

Well, particularly when politics is in play. For example, if you press home a rhetorical advantage against a political adversary, that might promote the cause of justice, but come at the expense of kindness.

Is the purpose a rhetorical win or a practical win? Maybe viewing it as a practical win resolves this? Politics seems full of people voting against their real interests, in which case isn’t beating them rather than convincing them the kindest thing?
