Okay, so about this stupid consent must be enthusiastic suggestion. Here's a partial list of things that might make this problematic (but which do not rule out people consenting to a sexual encounter):

So it's basically redundant then. But what if one person feels greatly pressured and the other one is blissfully unaware of that?

For ethical sexual practices there is the requirement for a certain amount of vigilance with regards to your partner's feelings, desires (or lack thereof), etc. If your ignorance is because you're not paying sufficient regard, then you're not acting ethically.
