Possibly so, Stuan, but you can't ignore the conclusion that trans women have no place in women's events.
In my 30s, I was an *average* club runner. Mediocre really. But it meant I was quick enough I'd only ever get beaten by national standard women. Just because of the physical advantages of being male. It would have been utterly unfair if I'd been able to compete in women's events.

It really is true that even mediocre men can beat excellent women. Someone once asked whether I though it plausible that Tiger Woods would ID as female and clean up? Well, no, but it’s not TW I’m concerned about, it’s whichever male is currently ranked #300.

Absolutely, that's the problem. My best marathon time - and that wasn't my best distance, by any means - would have put me in the top 20 women at Boston this year. And I think that means prize money.... but in male club running terms I was just average.
