If the signatories of the letter were confident that due process would be followed, why the letter? If they weren't, then why silence about other Title IX cases? Tension would be a better word than contradiction. Some of the signatories might have specific knowledge of events. But there must still be the fear due process either won't be in place or will produce the "wrong" outcome, a possibility that must exist in other similar cases....
