Well quite. It's an odd thing. I don't think it's virtue-signaling. Maybe it's catharsis. Or perhaps it promotes a sense of personal political efficacy. But... my god, I'd be very rapidly bored stiff if I only ever tweeted things about which I knew my audience would agree.
