Today we are at the PES refinery auction in New York City, as the largest refinery on the East Coast and the #1 polluter in Philadelphia is put up for sale in the bankruptcy court.

Although we’re not given a seat on the auction committee, we placed calls all week w/ Mayor Kenney, who’s in the room where it happens. Members reported back that the staff taking calls at the Mayor’s office knew exactly why everyone was calling: to keep this refinery shut down.
