A key indicator of our recovery is the continued growth of Philadelphia’s restaurant scene, including the opening of 24 new restaurants this fall alone. Also worth celebrating, our tourism industry is thriving—our region has recovered to more than 80% of its pre-pandemic peak.

Today marks 10 years since the Sandy Hook massacre. Gun violence continues to plague our nation, and we must do more to stop it. I join in calling for the passage of commonsense gun safety legislation that remains stalled in the Senate.
