So far it’s felt as if the Unite union could well reject the government’s pay offer to health workers. But I’ve always felt there is a good chance that GMB will accept it. If that’s what happens then we can expect a majority vote FOR the govt’s pay offer via NHS staff council

A stab here at how the NHS Staff Council pay deal vote could be looking. (Crude sums, as Unite wont reveal their numbers) But looks like if either one of GMB/Unite say Yes then there'll be a majority in favour (51% with GMB) Looks like both must say no for Council to reject

Heard rumours among NHS folk today (or maybe fears) that nurses, if they do reject as reporting, could strike on the same days as junior doctors upping impact. Remember the RCN stopped before most worrying strike that would’ve taken out intensive care & cancer teams

Striking junior doctors will no longer be returning to work at the Weston General as the BMA says it has been 'misled' on staffing levels.
Quote Tweet
We have revoked the derogation granted to Weston General Hospital. It has become apparent that both the BMA and NHS England were misled over the level of staffing cover. Either local management were unaware they had sufficient senior cover, or they deliberately misled us. twitter.com/TheBMA/status/…
