It means that there is likely to be a majority in favour of the deal on the NHS Staff Council, despite Unite and RCN rejecting it.

NEW: Great Ormond Street Hospital has declared an incident and says it has "serious concerns" about how it will safely staff the hospital during the strike by nurses beginning on Sunday.

So far it’s felt as if the Unite union could well reject the government’s pay offer to health workers. But I’ve always felt there is a good chance that GMB will accept it. If that’s what happens then we can expect a majority vote FOR the govt’s pay offer via NHS staff council

A stab here at how the NHS Staff Council pay deal vote could be looking. (Crude sums, as Unite wont reveal their numbers) But looks like if either one of GMB/Unite say Yes then there'll be a majority in favour (51% with GMB) Looks like both must say no for Council to reject

New: Mr Justice Linden says he agrees with Steve Barclay that final day of the RCN’s nursing strike-Tuesday-is unlawful and so doesn’t have legal protection. Earlier RCN general secretary-Pat Cullen, argued that govt might have a legal win today-but said the govt has lost nurses.

NEW: Strike action planned by the Royal College of Nursing for Tuesday 2nd May would be unlawful, the High Court has ruled.
