    Oh yeah, not to even mention that this was going to happen regardless. They would have put a concrete block in the orbit instead. This test resulted in more interest in space and electric cars. To complain about this is to disparage the efforts going on to save us and the world.

    which just leaves the second stage with the car attached in an orbit that will take it out as far as the asteroid belt. It's one large piece too and is easily tracked and most definitely not at risk of hitting anything. Try holding anyone else to those standards with their...

    Your inductive reasoning uses flawed data because the evidence does not enjoy a direct relationship with reality. Meaning that what they are doing is fundamentally different from the examples you used. The individual effort , or vote, or dream can change everything.

    Because, one way or another nasa hasn't sent cars to the asteroids. The BFR starts hopper tests next year. You are great Neil but you have to admit that they are doing insanely well. I surprised myself when I realized there are things that I don't think government should lead on.

    But he is just using that to subsidize his dream and damn the odds. It seems that the odds have been damned as he is discovering ways to sustain the efforts to achieve his goal no matter if the government has lead there or not.

    Rather, the entire motivation is different. Evil is failing because one good man did something. He wants to save his species and his home from destruction. He is trying at all costs with no guarantee of his success to achieve it. He followed nasa to orbit to make money.
