    this is "brave" only in the context of an organization that has, despite these obvious claims, doubled down on the contrary. and the "you think we work for you? well think again!" schtick is only as exculpatory as its necessity is damning.

    this is what it looks like when there is no path available to "switch sides". your only incentive is to further double down and scramble to justify why "your side" has been a totally reasonable response this whole time. absolute silly take on the linked vid. /

    Vividly captures the condescension of elites & their incessant ridicule of Americans with traditional values. It elicits glee among celebrities & blue check brigade. But for the millions sick of being disrespected it elicits support for fighting back,even in a crude or vulgar way

    I see the movement pleading to "give Rs a safe welcoming path to crack"- fucking no. 2.5 years of this. every inch ceded is taken, exploited, and then another is demanded pretending this is always where we were. let them double down. again. impeach _in spite_ of it.

    "we're trying, but there's just no way to spin it" admits a waaay off the charts standard for truth. it's like that chappell skit demanding the r kelley vid includes everyone holding up ID. yet this now cited as evidence Rs _do_ have a line that everything prior _hadn't_ crossed/

    pair that stalemate with the fact that all claims take the form of "X is wrong AND is LYING when they say Y is wrong"- there is no path out. only solution is: realize this isn't some meta hypothetical, and in fact "one side" is... correct. QED: R's are depraved. :(

    anyways- now paradox is: they beg to not be condescended-to by what they call "appeals to emotion", yet any current (that I'm aware of) study of ideological persuasion requires 1. not condescending to them and 2. doing what they call "appealing to emotion". /

    obv next step is "o shit is it ME who isn't able/willing to see reality?"- followed by being consumed by research and self reflection and "logical" argumentation that "loses" regardless. yes I'm aware of what gaslighting is. yes "I'm being gaslit" is a candidate for self-exam. /

    all the "time is running out for Rs to get on the right side" seems... BS. time has ran out. there's been doubling down on doubling down for 2.5 years. need to acknowledge tragic reality that there isn't a path to redemption any more. either Ds are hysterical or Rs are depraved./

    it's def "seeing patterns in the clouds" to attribute this to something trump is "calculating". much more reasonable is, he's actually just profoundly wrapped up in delusion and conspiracy; lived a life w/ enough $ that he's able to get by w/o ever checking his wrong-ness. /

    I know this isn't a novel take- "prefer simple messaging" I'm sure is rule #1 in politics 101. but this maybe goes a step further? "position self so the opposition is complex"- for a definition of "complex" meaning "takes a couple sentences". novel way to do that- be VERY wrong./
