McConnell says the 6 pm procedural vote is ON. Negotiations continuing

Sixty votes are needed to move forward on the shell for emergency economic aid bill. Negotiations have been ongoing for the last few hours and there isn’t a deal yet. McConnell urged senators to move the process forward as the talks continue.’

McConnell’s message to colleagues: “We need to signal to the public that we can get the job done and the best way to do that is to vote aye on the motion to proceed.”

This will be a thirty minute vote. Usually votes are 15 minutes, but have been elongated to space out how many senators are in the chamber at once for social distancing purposes.
